Enabling Invoices
When you make a credit purchase, please note that you should enable the “Send me Invoices” button if you require invoices.
How to Find Your Invoices
You can access all of your invoices directly through your Stripe billing portal.
Sign in to OpenRouter and head to the Credits Page

Click Payment History.
This will open your Stripe dashboard.
Under Invoice History, you’ll see a full list of your past invoices.
Adding Your Tax ID, VAT Number, or PO Number
When you buy credits with “Send me Invoices” enabled, you can add your business details so they appear on the invoice:

Tax ID / VAT number: open the Edit Tax ID section on the purchase form and enter your number. We support the full range of Stripe tax IDs, including EU VAT numbers.

Purchase order number and notes: open Advanced invoicing (optional) to add a Purchase order ID and any Notes you want on the invoice.
Enter these before completing the purchase so they’re included on that invoice and future ones. This optional info isn’t available on auto top-up purchases. As with other billing details, changes apply to future invoices only — past invoices stay locked to the details they had at purchase.
Updating Billing Information (For Future Invoices)
In the same Stripe dashboard, you’ll also find an option to Update Information.
Any updates you make here will only apply to future invoices.
Past invoices remain locked with the billing details they had at the time of purchase.
Can We Update or Reissue Past Invoices?
Unfortunately, we’re not able to update or reissue invoices after payment has been processed.
Invoice details are locked in at the time of purchase, and changing them retroactively would require workflows we don’t currently support.
Downloading Your Invoices
PDFs of invoices remain active indefinitely once downloaded.
You can re-download them at any time from the Invoice History section of your Stripe dashboard.
